Jane is Katherine & Nani’s daughter. This April she will be three. She is growing into a fully alive little girl who’s very smart, very creative, and loves her “Greema”.

When Janie was about 7 or 8 months old and able to pull herself up to stand on her chubby two legs, she loved to stand in front of the TV, and if there was music, she would begin to move and do a little baby dance.

One afternoon someone caught Jane on video doing her little dance to the music of a Nintendo game but, instead of her normal little moves, she started shaking her butt. It was utterly adorable. When I first saw the video, “my heart started buzzing like a bee,” and I heard that little voice in my head singing, “Shake your booty. Shake your booty.”

Dance With Me came to me very quickly, only after I stopped trying to force a musical genre on it that just wouldn’t fit. Once it was clear I was listening to Firthian Latin Rock, the song was born.

I hope many, dare I say, millions enjoy listening to Dance With Me.  However, nothing would give Janie’s “Greepa” more joy than seeing her dance to it…at age 13.
